Eritrea

Eritrea, located in the Horn of Africa, is a small country that packs a punch when it comes to culture and history. With a population of around 6 million people, this vibrant nation boasts stunning landscapes, including the Danakil Desert and the Dahlak Archipelago. Eritrea gained independence from Ethiopia in 1993, after a thirty-year struggle. The country is known for its distinctive architecture, such as the Italian-inspired buildings in the capital city, Asmara. Eritrea has a diverse ethnic makeup, with nine recognized ethnic groups, each contributing to the rich cultural tapestry of the nation. Eritrea's cuisine is delicious, with injera and tsebhi frequently enjoyed. Despite facing challenges, Eritrea is a country with immense potential and its people's resilience and determination continue to drive it forward.
