Tajikistan

Tajikistan is a landlocked country in Central Asia, bordered by Afghanistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and China. The geography of Tajikistan is dominated by rugged mountain ranges, including the Pamir Mountains, which contain some of the highest peaks in the world. The country is rich in minerals, including silver, gold, coal, and uranium. The vegetation is varied, with forests, grasslands, and shrublands covering much of the lowlands. Tajikistan has a long history, with evidence of human settlement dating back to the 2nd millennium BCE. The people of Tajikistan are predominantly Muslim and speak Tajik, a dialect of Persian.
