A very interesting website, Flightradar24.com shows real time aircraft position and track on the world map. It is an internet based service that can track commercial aircraft.
The website provides information about the origin, destination, flight track, flight number, aircraft type, position, altitude and speed. It can also display time lapse replays of previous tracks and historical flight data by airline, airport, aircraft, aircraft type or area. It aggregates data from multiple sources mostly from crowd sourced information gathered by volunteers. An amazing website!!
