What is the Extension of human Brain?

Let's first try to understand the Limitations of human Brain to answer the above question.

1. Memory. We forget. We tend to forget most of the things we learn, we see or hear or even experience over a period of time. We have a limitation of how much we can remember or what we remember. Sometimes we remember certain things incorrectly too.

2. We get bored while doing repetitive tasks.

3. Speed. We have a limitation of how fast we can calculate or comprehend or analyse and for how long.

4. Accuracy suffers when we try to do things fast or if we are bored or disinterested in a job.

5. Handling Complexity. Our brain has a limitation when we need to understand or manage complexity, be it in any field of activity.

6. Multiple communication. We can interact with or communicate to only a few at a time.

Now the invention or the device which is helping us to overcome these limitations is a Computer.

Now let's see how a Computer is overcoming the limitations of our Brain.

A Computer is generally divided into three Logical sections. The Memory where all information is stored, ALU that is Arithmetic and Logic Unit where all computations are done and an Input/Output Unit that is engaged in taking the inputs from attached Input devices and sending the output through the output devices.

So, how a Computer is overcoming the Limitations of our Brain -

1. Memory: It is able to store all the information be it in the form of Text, Images, Sounds or Videos exactly as they are input or fed into the computer and we can retrieve them exactly the same even after a long time has passed.

2. It is able to perform repetitive tasks faster and accurately without mistakes or getting bored.

3. A computer is able to work through Complex algorithms to give a specific output which can be very difficult for a human mind to comprehend.

4. It is able to communicate simultaneously with a huge number of people through networks.

So it is overwhelming to see how we the humans have progressed through these inventions to overcome our physical and mental limitations.
